As a church we're committed to growing and going
as we serve God in Ballysillan
Growing as the family of GodChurch isn’t just an activity, it’s a community, or better still, a family where we care for and love each other because of the care and love we have received from God in Jesus that brought us into his family. So we want to grow as a family.
We want to grow bigger…we want more people to know and experience the love of God in Jesus and become part of this family. And we want to grow deeper and stronger…building deeper and stronger relationships with each other so we can care for and love each other through the ups and downs of life. |
...love one another deeply...
1 Peter 1:22
Growing as followers of jesusJesus gave his life for ours and we’re called to give our lives to him.
So we want to grow as followers of Jesus. Sunday worship is the central part of what we do to help us all grow as followers and we’d love to see you there week by week. We also provide other regular opportunities individually and gathered together to learn and grow and we encourage you to make the most of those. |
...so that the body of Christ may be built up...
Ephesians 4:!2
Growing in prayer in the spirit“To be a Christian without prayer is no more possible than to be alive without breathing.”
Again and again in the Bible we're encouraged to pray in the Spirit for ourselves, for the church and for the world around us as a natural part of being a follower of Jesus in the family of God. So we want to grow in prayer. We pray lots within our Sunday worship service as well as having different opportunities to gather with others to pray. We'd also be glad to pray for you, so just get in touch. |
...praying at all times in the Spirit...
Ephesians 6:18
going with the good news of jesusWe believe the good news of Jesus is the best news anyone could ever hear and we don't want to keep it to ourselves behind the doors of the church building
So we want to go and tell others about it. And we hope to do that by living in and loving this community as good neighbours and good news tellers and by serving all generations of our community through various programmes and initiatives and working alongside other churches and ministries who share the same desire for Ballysillan to hear and believe the good news of Jesus. |
...How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news...
Romans 10:15
