We are a group of Christians of all ages, backgrounds and interests. Although we are all very different people we share one thing in common... Jesus. We seek to teach, understand and communicate the message of hope that Jesus brings. Our desire is to constantly remember this message for our own lives and to share it within our local community and to the ends of the earth (and everywhere in between!)
What can you expect on a Sunday?
If you have never been to church, or have not been to church in years, you might be surprised by Ballysillan on a Sunday.
We do three things on Sunday. We sing, we pray and we learn from the Bible. Our worship music is modern and lively and our Bible teaching is relevant to life today. During most of the year we provide children's and youth programs that run alongside the main service.
You don't have to be a Christian to come along, Sundays at Ballysillan are open to everyone. You can join us any Sunday and you will be made very welcome. Come as you are.
What else do we do?
We run various programs for different ages during the week. Take a look at our section to see what you can come to! Activitie s
What is a 'Presbyterian' Church?
The word 'presbyterian' simply describes how the church is governed. Our church is governed by a group of elders who look after the spiritual wellbeing of the congregation. We are part of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland, a group of 545 churches across the north and south of Ireland.
